A law firm seeks a Healthcare Regulatory Attorney in Tampa, FL. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a practice within the Healthcare & Insurance Division, providing transactional and regulatory counsel to healthcare providers, health plans, and pharmaceutical and medical device companies. The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of relevant experience and possess strong academic credentials and exceptional skills in research, writing, analysis, organization, leadership, and communication.

Duties

• Advise clients on healthcare fraud and abuse compliance, including Stark Law and anti-kickback statutes.
• Advocate for clients on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues, including overpayments and audits.
• Guide health plans on compliance with state and federal laws, including Medicare Advantage and Medicaid.
• Advise on corporate practice of medicine and management service organizations (MSOs).
• Conduct transactional due diligence and negotiate for M&A and financing transactions in healthcare.

Requirements

• Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in healthcare regulatory matters.
• Active license in the applicable jurisdiction or ability to waive into practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active legal license in the relevant jurisdiction.
