A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its team in Staten Island, NY. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, writing, and case management, focusing on medical malpractice cases. This position requires a dedicated attorney who can independently manage a caseload while working collaboratively with senior attorneys. The role involves litigation support, client communication, and providing strategic legal advice. Duties:

• Conduct legal research and provide analysis on various legal issues related to medical malpractice.
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and agreements.
• Assist with case management, preparing for hearings, trials, and depositions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
• Represent clients in court during litigation matters and proceedings.
• Offer legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the legal process.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission or pending admission to the state bar associations in NJ and/or NY.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Proficiency with legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently and efficiently.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A demonstrated interest in medical malpractice law.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the state bar associations in NJ and/or NY.

Skills:

• Legal research and writing expertise.
• Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw).
• Strong communication and client relationship management.
