Job Overview:
A law firm based in Philadelphia, PA, is actively seeking a skilled mid-level litigation associate with a strong background in general liability defense. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, providing comprehensive litigation support through all phases of the case lifecycle. This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid or remote work arrangement for qualified candidates.

Duties:

• Handle a broad array of general liability litigation matters, including premises and automobile liability

• Oversee full case management from initiation through resolution

• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Conduct and defend depositions of parties and experts

• Present oral arguments in court and attend hearings as necessary

• Deliver thorough legal analysis and strategic guidance to clients

• Collaborate with internal teams to develop case strategies and ensure timely resolution

Requirements:

• Active licensure in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation, particularly in general liability or insurance defense

• Demonstrated experience managing files independently and handling substantive court appearances

• Familiarity with state and federal court procedures in PA and NJ

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law institution

Certifications:

• Bar admission in Pennsylvania and New Jersey (in good standing)

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical capabilities
