A prominent national law firm is actively recruiting a Career Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation. This position is available in any of the firm’s offices nationwide, including the virtual/remote office. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of complex coverage matters under professional liability, general liability, and directors & officers insurance policies, combined with strong litigation experience. Duties

• Provide legal representation on insurance and reinsurance litigation matters

• Advise insurers on coverage under various policy types, including D&O, E&O, and general liability

• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and discovery responses

• Handle depositions and court appearances commensurate with experience

• Conduct in-depth legal research and write high-quality memoranda

• Work independently on assigned matters while also collaborating with team members

• Maintain case files, manage deadlines, and support business development initiatives as appropriate

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant insurance coverage and commercial litigation experience

• Proven understanding of insurance policies and complex litigation

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters and work under minimal supervision

• Experience working with insurers as clients is highly preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials required

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
