Duties:

• Represent clients in court proceedings and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support ongoing cases.
• Draft and review essential legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and contracts.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and opposing counsel.
• Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and legal procedures.
• Manage a varied caseload, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Collaborate on the development of innovative legal strategies.
• Represent the firm at professional events and legal associations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Virginia State Bar.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in family law.
• Proficient in legal research, writing, and analysis.
• Strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management.
• Capacity to handle sensitive and confidential client information responsibly.
• Familiarity with state court procedures.

Education:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to Virginia State Bar.
