Senior Legal Counsel, Business Development
The candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to our Business Development and Alliance Management functions as well as other stakeholders within Genmab, including IPR, Project Management, R&D, Finance and Tax. Consist of drafting and negotiating various types of strategic agreements such as research and collaboration agreements, license agreements, partnership agreements, M&A agreements and other types of agreements related to the business development area. You will also advise various stakeholders regarding our existing agreements. A J.D. Law degree from a recognized university and state bar admission or equivalent. Should have 8+ years of relevant work experience from the biotech/pharmaceutical industry and/or law firm servicing life science clients. Experience in drafting and negotiating complex life sciences/pharmaceutical industry agreements. Extensive knowledge and understanding of intellectual property rights, in particular patents. Commercially-minded and solution-oriented with the ability to analyze legal situations, and understand the facts and the client's business position. Ability to work and deliver results independently as well as in teams. Experience working in cross-functional teams and in an international environment. Ability to work successfully under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment and with tight timelines. Proactive, enthusiastic and goal orientated. Strong communication and negotiation skills - both oral and written.
