Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level corporate associate for its New York office. The successful candidate will have experience in mergers and acquisitions or strategic support for start-ups and venture capital firms. This role involves significant client interaction and requires a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Duties

• Provide counsel to early-stage entrepreneurs.
• Represent companies and venture funds in financing rounds and M&A.
• Engage in investor-side financing in growth equity rounds.
• Interact with CEOs, Boards of Directors, and general partners.
• Manage multiple client matters simultaneously.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of experience in M&A, venture capital, or growth equity financing.
• Previous large law firm experience required.
• Admitted or eligible to waive into the State Bar of New York.
• Eagerness to work with emerging growth companies and funds.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from 2021 - 2022.

Certifications

• Admitted to the State Bar of New York or eligible for admission.

Skills

• Proven experience in M&A and venture capital transactions.
• Strong client management and communication skills.
