High Value Healthcare Campaign Director
Duties: Lead effort to make sure healthcare system delivers real value to consumers at an affordable cost. Will exercise independent judgment and discretion to develop policy solutions and implement a variety of campaign strategies to mobilize the public and influence insiders. Create campaigns by researching the issue, creating viable policy solutions, and proposing political strategy and messaging to fix the nation’s healthcare system. Will work to develop campaigns with state affiliates as well. Build relationships with legislators critical to healthcare program, represent in legislative meetings and hearings. Build relationships with leaders at regulatory agencies and Governors’ offices. Develop plans to win campaigns; assess opportunities for building political support for agenda through coalition-building, grassroots organizing, media coverage, and message development. Build relationships and mobilize support with key constituencies, from health professionals, business owners, school board members and others. Serve as the chief spokesperson for campaigns through tactics like media events, press releases and editorial board meetings. Write grant proposals, build relationships with foundation staff, and meet with major donors. Work with citizen outreach staff to build and develop membership base. Recruit new interns, staff and volunteers. Oversee program interns and staff to develop and implement work plans; provide training and leadership development opportunities.
