A law firm seeks an experienced ESOP Compliance Attorney for their Philadelphia, PA office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee benefits law, particularly in employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), and will be adept at navigating complex legal requirements.

Duties

• Provide expert counsel on ESOPs and related employee benefit plans.
• Advise plan sponsors on ERISA and IRS compliance for KSOPs and ESOPs.
• Negotiate and draft executive employment agreements and incentive plans.
• Review merger and acquisition agreements for ESOP-related issues.
• Advise on compliance with Internal Revenue Code Sections 280G and 409A.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of practice experience in employee benefits law.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and motivation.
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong academic credentials.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the state of practice.
