Justice Data Institute Associate

The candidate will be responsible for conducting academic research, writing research papers and shorter opinion papers, helping organize convenings and conferences, and otherwise assisting the operational and administrative functions of the Institute for Technology Law and Policy. Works with the Executive Director, faculty members, and staff to conduct advanced research projects, including legal and research on issues relevant to technology law and policy, with projects involving legal and policy writing and presentations, well as participation in related conferences and events. Supports the Institute with the organization of externally and internally facing meetings of varying sizes. Coordinates content and programs with participants and external partners, develops messaging, and oversees the planning and logistics coordinated by event management staff. Develops communications and messaging for the Institute, including contributing content to the Tech institute's website a printed materials. Mentors Fellows and Student Research Assistants on research projects. JD degree or Masters preferred. Should have 2-5 years of relevant professional experience. Must have experience with technology law. Should have working knowledge of research topics related to technology law and policy. Must have excellent research and legal writing skills with the ability to operate professionally in interactions with academic and other stakeholders. Ability to work well as part of a small team and supervise student work in a professional manner as required.
