The ideal candidate will be capable of leading litigation matters from initial strategy through trial or resolution and will work alongside a collaborative legal team in a high-performance environment.

Duties

• Handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including business disputes, contract claims, and regulatory matters
• Lead all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, trials, and appeals
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
• Collaborate with legal teams to develop case strategy and manage client communications
• Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
• Supervise junior attorneys and legal support staff when necessary
• Conduct risk assessment and counsel clients on legal exposure and litigation options

Requirements

• 7 years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex litigation matters independently
• Extensive experience in federal and state court litigation
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills
• Commitment to delivering high-quality client service under pressure

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license and in good standing with the District of Columbia Bar, or eligibility to waive in
