Job Overview

A law firm seeks a compassionate and skilled Personal Injury Attorney who is fluent in Spanish to join its legal team. This firm handles a wide variety of personal injury cases across North Carolina, with a focus on delivering personalized and high-quality legal services to individuals seeking justice after being injured.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience handling personal injury matters, along with the ability to communicate seamlessly with Spanish-speaking clients. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, while still maintaining strong collaboration with the firm’s legal team.

Duties

  • Represent clients in personal injury claims, including cases involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and medical negligence
  • Maintain regular communication with Spanish-speaking clients to ensure clarity at every stage of their case
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and settlement negotiations
  • Negotiate settlements and, when necessary, advocate for clients in court hearings
  • Maintain detailed and organized case files, tracking important deadlines and case developments
  • Offer compassionate legal counsel while upholding professionalism and legal ethics

Requirements

  • 1+ year of legal experience, preferably in personal injury litigation
  • Strong understanding of North Carolina personal injury law and litigation procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
  • Excellent client service skills, with a focus on empathy and clear communication
  • Experience working remotely and effectively collaborating with a distributed team

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the state of North Carolina (required)

Skills

  • Fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Strong legal writing and research capabilities
  • Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint)
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
