A law firm seeks an experienced Personal Injury Attorney in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will independently manage a substantial caseload while collaborating closely with the Managing Partner on strategy and trial preparation. Duties

• Manage personal injury cases from assignment through resolution.
• Develop litigation strategy and evaluate liability, damages, and case value.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other court submissions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear at conferences, hearings, oral arguments, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Work with experts and prepare matters for trial.
• Negotiate settlements while maximizing client outcomes.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout the litigation process.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure cases continue moving efficiently.

Requirements

• Active admission to the New York Bar.
• At least five years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury matters.
• Experience independently handling depositions, court appearances, and negotiations.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
• Excellent client communication abilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive, accountable approach to case management.
• Trial experience is a significant plus but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
