The successful candidate will join a dynamic team, working alongside senior and litigation associates to handle diverse legal issues and provide counsel to clients. Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain accurate client files for attorneys and staff.
  • Assist clients in resolving legal conflicts and determining the best course of action.
  • Create legal documents for negotiations and proceedings.
  • Perform legal research and attend hearings under supervision.
  • Communicate with associates, paralegals, and clients for efficient case handling.
  • Conduct discovery calls with prospective clients to evaluate legal issues.
  • Build trust with clients to convert consultations into retained cases.
  • Review and explain payment structures and retainer agreements.
  • Act as the primary contact for client payments and financial arrangements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team for client engagement opportunities.
  • Research client-related legal issues.
  • Draft and file legal documents.
  • Develop legal theories for client cases.
  • Communicate effectively with clients.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree and active law license in North Carolina.
  • Excellent written, problem-solving, and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized and deadline-driven.
  • Experience in professional licensing/administrative law preferred.
  • Experience in sales preferred.
  • Proficient in basic computer software and quick to learn new programs.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with cloud-based technology, including Google Drive and law firm management software.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using calendar and task management systems.
  • Proficient in meeting software like Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Some work in Superior Court via appeals of agency/board decisions.

Education

  • J.D. degree required.

Certifications

  • Active law license in North Carolina required.

  • Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
  • Ability to build client relationships and trust.
