Associate Attorney needed for Atlanta office

Job Overview:
A respected multi-state law firm is actively recruiting an Associate Attorney to join its Georgia office. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of litigation experience, preferably with a background in consumer or commercial collection matters. The position offers hands-on litigation experience and the opportunity to develop in a dynamic legal practice focused on creditor’s rights.

Location:

• Atlanta, Georgia

Duties:

• Manage legal cases from inception to resolution in the area of consumer and commercial collections

• Prepare and review pleadings and legal documentation

• Attend court hearings and conduct motion practice

• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and debtors

• Collaborate with legal staff and fellow attorneys on case strategy

• Ensure compliance with applicable consumer protection laws

• Maintain communication with clients and internal teams

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience in litigation, preferably collection litigation

• Strong understanding of court procedures and case management

• Ability to handle a high-volume caseload effectively

• Familiarity with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and related statutes preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia

• Admission in additional states is a plus

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong legal research and drafting abilities

• Highly organized with the ability to manage deadlines

• Capable of working independently and within a team
