Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Senior Associate to join their dynamic legal team. This fully remote position requires a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience and California Bar admission. The role involves managing a high-value caseload in the wage and hour space, with opportunities to work on consumer protection and data privacy cases.

Duties

• Evaluate new cases and prepare case proposals.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Draft motions and briefs in file-ready form.
• Oversee the filing process for motions and briefs.
• Prepare and serve stipulations, discovery letters, and proposed orders.
• Correspond with co-counsel, opposing counsel, court personnel, and clients.
• Manage discovery and related disputes.
• Prepare for and take/defend depositions.
• Participate actively in mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings.
• Attend and lead team and firm meetings.
• Adhere to all internal and court-mandated deadlines.
• Perform administrative duties related to legal practice.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of litigation experience.
• California Bar admission required; additional jurisdictions like NY or IL are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• CA bar exam if licensed in other states.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
