Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Atlanta, GA, to manage legal matters from inception through post-judgment remedies. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality legal representation, maintain fairness and respect for clients, and excel in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role is primarily remote with occasional court appearances and onsite meetings required.

Duties

• Conducts exceptional legal research, writing, and oral communication.
• Manages a high-volume caseload and advises on legal and regulatory risks.
• Negotiates with opposing counsel to resolve cases.
• Travels to various courts within Georgia for legal proceedings and hearings.
• Collaborates with the Managing Attorney to report activities and results.

Requirements

• 0-3 years' experience in bankruptcy/collection or civil law litigation.
• J.D. from an accredited law school with an active license to practice law in GA.
• License to practice in other states (GA, SC, TN, FL, VA, MD, MI, OH) or UBE passage is a plus.
• Proficient in analyzing case law and providing recommendations.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
• Outstanding time management skills.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in GA.
