Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in Boone, NC, is seeking a dedicated Family Law Associate Attorney through a legal recruiting agency. This role focuses on handling a wide range of domestic relations matters and advocating for clients through negotiation and courtroom litigation. The ideal candidate will bring compassion, diligence, and a strong understanding of family law to support clients through emotionally charged legal issues.

Duties:

• Represent clients in family law proceedings, including divorce, custody, child support, and spousal support

• Draft legal pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements

• Manage case files from inception through resolution

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda

• Maintain professional and responsive client communication

• Attend court hearings, mediations, and negotiations

• Collaborate with administrative and legal support staff

• Provide strategic guidance to clients during legal proceedings

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of North Carolina

• At least 1 year of experience handling family law matters

• Availability for full-time work

• Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload independently

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admittance to the North Carolina Bar in good standing

Skills:

• Strong oral and written advocacy

• Effective negotiation and conflict resolution

• High emotional intelligence and empathy for clients

• Proficiency in legal research and case management tools
