A Florence, SC-based law firm is seeking a motivated attorney to join its Workers' Compensation practice. Duties:

• Review and evaluate new case files to formulate case strategies and budget expectations

• Determine necessary pleadings and delegate drafting tasks to support staff

• Draft and respond to discovery requests; oversee document production

• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings

• Provide comprehensive reports and case status updates following legal proceedings

• Negotiate settlements, obtain necessary approvals, and prepare for litigation

• Maintain consistent communication with assigned paralegals and legal assistants

• Uphold a high standard of service and client-focused representation

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in South Carolina

• 1 to 5 years of prior experience, preferably in insurance defense or workers' compensation

• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight

• Strong case organization and time management capabilities

• Willingness to engage in a high-volume caseload with a fast-paced workflow

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must be a member in good standing with the South Carolina Bar

Skills:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Competency in the Microsoft Office Suite

• Aptitude for learning and using litigation and case management software

• Strong interpersonal skills with a client-centric mindset

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt in a changing legal environment
