Job Overview
A law firm seeks an associate with 4-6 years of experience to join its Business Group in Atlanta. This position offers the opportunity to engage in mergers and acquisitions and general corporate transactions, working with a team known for its extensive corporate and regulatory expertise in the insurance and financial services sectors.

Duties

• Perform and oversee due diligence for M&A transactions.
• Manage specialists and coordinate transaction closings and post-closing matters.
• Draft and negotiate transaction documents.
• Engage in joint ventures and commercial contracts.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in M&A transactions.
• Solid knowledge of general corporate law, including entity formation and governance.
• AmLaw 100 experience is strongly preferred.
• Admitted to practice in Georgia or eligible to waive admission or sit for the Georgia Bar Exam.

Education

• J.D. from a nationally recognized and accredited school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Georgia Bar or eligibility to waive or sit for the exam.
