Duties

• Represent school districts in special education legal matters.
• Provide legal advice and consultation on special education issues.
• Assist with the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans.
• Represent clients in due process hearings and mediation.
• Conduct staff training on special education laws and compliance.
• Develop and implement policies to ensure legal compliance.
• Collaborate with school administrators and educators to address legal concerns.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in special education law.
• Strong knowledge of IDEA, ADA, Section 504, and other relevant laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle complex legal matters and provide strategic advice.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

Education
