Profile

A law firm in Newport Beach, CA, is seeking an experienced Trusts and Estates Planning Associate Attorney to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for handling all stages of estate planning and trust administration, client management, and advising on wealth transfer strategies for high-net-worth individuals.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all stages of estate planning and trust administration.
  • Manage client intake and maintain client relationships.
  • Draft, review, and modify estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and advanced directives.
  • Advise on wealth transfer and asset protection strategies for high-net-worth clients.
  • Implement strategies for reducing estate, income, and property taxes.
  • Prepare and review technical memoranda for clients on estate tax issues.
  • Competently handle complex estate planning matters with minimal supervision.
  • Research various client issues, analyze options, and propose the best course of action.
  • Review and monitor the work of paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Experience with court appearances is a plus.
  • Corporate experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Foreign language skills are a plus.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in trusts and estates planning.
  • Strong understanding of estate planning and trust administration.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
  • Experience in corporate law is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

  • Proficiency in estate planning and trust administration.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and propose solutions.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting legal documents.
