A law firm seeks a Career Associate with over seven years of civil litigation experience to join its Litigation Business Unit in Santa Monica, CA. Fully remote work arrangements will also be considered. This role offers an alternative to the partner track, providing opportunities for substantive legal work with a lower annual time commitment.

Duties

• Provide general case team support.
• Conduct strong legal research.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
• Manage discovery tasks, including e-discovery.
• Oversee case and project management.
• Prepare for depositions and trials.
• Prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Meaningful experience with complex civil litigation.
• Outstanding interpersonal, writing, and communication skills.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Submission of a writing sample.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
