Seeking Labor And Employee Benefits Associate with 1-5 years’ experience in union-side labor law and/or employee benefits law. The candidate will perform both labor and employee benefits work. Will include advising and representing international, intermediate and local unions on everything from organizing new contractors and members to administering the organization’s internal affairs, policies and programs. On the employee benefits side, work will include assisting benefit plan personnel, trustees and unions with the full range of issues faced by all types of employee benefit plans, including drafting and review of plan documents, service provider contracts and participant communications. Will represent clients in litigation, arbitrations and other venues. Should share the firm’s deep-seated belief that working people deserve strong unions and employee benefit plans, and its commitment to provide such unions and plans with exceptional legal representation. Should have a strong academic background, superior analytic, research and writing skills, and the ability to work well with clients and fellow attorneys.
