Commercial Litigation Paralegal
The candidate will maintain and monitor court deadlines for assigned cases and take ownership of case calendars; electronically file documents with the Court through the ECF system under the supervision of an attorney; perform online PACER research; prepare drafts of pleadings, notices, and motions. Other responsibilities will allow preparing deposition notices (organizing, maintaining, and preparing deposition materials, exhibits, and summaries); track and managing discovery, including document productions; participating in case strategy meetings; and handling routine calls and correspondence to courts, outside attorneys, and clients. Must possess well-developed critical thinking, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. Should have a strong sense of accountability, take ownership over projects and responsibilities, resolve issues proactively, and know how to be a true team player; 2 or 4-year degree and a paralegal certificate; however, work experience may be substituted for education. Should have the ability to conduct research using various research tools, including the Internet and Westlaw.
