SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for overseeing all the rendering functions; both the production and mechanical aspects. Duties include producing quality products in a safe clean and efficient manner; ensuring that subordinates adhere to all company policies and procedures; and submitting daily weekly and monthly reports in a timely manner. This position will also cover the maintenance department when a supervisor in that area is absent.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for maintaining safety, retention, quality and efficiencies of maintenance and production personnel. K eeping of records and logs on safety. S upervise designated maintenance/production crew when needed. Tracks budgets and product quality; schedules maintenance crews and production orders. Supervise a group of personnel in a single department to work as a unit to perform similar and/or interrelated tasks and activities. Basic computer skills such as checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, or creating simple queries. Ability and willingness to work varied/extended hours & shifts; Team Leader, problem solving, and special projects; extra consideration given to team members with technical skills.

Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce. Other duties as assigned. Working knowledge of rendering systems and its processes preferred such as general knowledge of Rendering products, specifications, wastewater systems, and product recovery is needed. General Maintenance background is a plus, but not required. Strong verbal and written communication and basic computer skills required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Resume is required and must contain contact information, related work experience/history, skills and educational information. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Requires one or more years work experience in Fresh Meats beef or pork meat processing industry. T wo or more years of Rendering and management experience preferred.
