Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a highly qualified Associate Attorney with 4 to 6 years of experience in appellate litigation and trial support. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented litigator with strong writing skills and courtroom experience, including appellate oral arguments and motion practice. The position allows for placement in any of the firm’s offices and provides the opportunity to work closely with seasoned trial teams on high-stakes litigation. Location:

• Minneapolis, MN

Duties:

• Draft appellate briefs and other written advocacy documents

• Present oral arguments before appellate courts

• Argue legal motions and assist with trial-level litigation tasks

• Participate in charge conferences and preserve trial records for appellate review

• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support trial and appellate strategy

• Collaborate with litigation teams on case preparation and courtroom presentation

Requirements:

• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in appellate litigation and trial support

• Demonstrated courtroom experience, including appellate oral arguments and motion practice

• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced legal environment

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Judicial clerkship experience is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Excellent academic credentials required

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

• Outstanding legal writing and research skills

• Skilled in oral advocacy and courtroom presentation

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organizational and time management abilities

• Proficiency with legal research platforms and litigation support software
