Profile

A law firm in Atlanta is seeking a Patent Attorney with 1-4 years of experience.

Duties:

• Interview inventors and conduct patentability searches.
• Draft patent applications and responses to Office Actions.
• Prosecute patent applications, including overcoming rejections under 35 U.S.C. §101.

Requirements:

• Registered to practice before the United States Patent Office.
• Preferably holds a degree in or has work experience with software, including artificial intelligence and machine learning.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Superb writing skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Arizona Bar admission preferred.
• Law firm experience preferred.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in at least one state.
• Membership in good standing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Skills:

• Proficient in conducting patentability searches.
• Ability to draft clear and concise patent applications.
• Strong understanding of patent prosecution procedures.
• Familiarity with overcoming rejections under 35 U.S.C. §101.
