Duties

• Advise clients on federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
• Conduct environmental due diligence for corporate and real estate transactions.
• Draft and negotiate environmental provisions in contracts and related documentation.
• Assist in permitting, regulatory compliance, and enforcement matters.
• Support internal investigations and environmental audits.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including litigation, real estate, and corporate attorneys.

Requirements

• 2 years of legal experience in environmental law, focusing on transactions and regulatory compliance.
• Experience advising on environmental aspects of business operations and real estate projects.
• Familiarity with statutes such as CERCLA, RCRA, CAA, CWA, and TSCA.
• Strong research, analytical, and drafting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar (required).
• Additional state admissions are a plus.
