Duties

• Represent clients in criminal law matters and develop skills in family law, including divorce, custody, and domestic relations

• Provide strategic legal advice and representation to clients across both practice areas

• Collaborate with colleagues in a supportive team environment

• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and memoranda

• Advocate for clients in court and negotiate on their behalf

• Maintain client communications and manage case files efficiently

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing criminal law

• Desire to expand into family law practice

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to manage cases independently and as part of a team

• Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Michigan (required)
