A law firm seeks a Texas-licensed Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of family law litigation experience to join its team in Austin, TX. This role offers the opportunity to manage a personal caseload while collaborating with experienced partners on complex family law matters.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of family law matters including divorce, child custody, modifications, and enforcement actions.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case strategy, status updates, and expectations.
• Work collaboratively with partners and other attorneys on complex litigation matters.
• Assist partners with case strategy, discovery, trial preparation, and special projects.
• Review and analyze discovery, prepare discovery responses, and conduct witness preparation.
• Maintain accurate case files and comply with court deadlines and procedural requirements.

Requirements

• Texas Bar license required.
• 3-5 years of family law litigation experience.
• Demonstrated experience handling hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent legal research and drafting abilities.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Professional demeanor and commitment to client service.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills

• Experience practicing in Texas family courts.
• Familiarity with case management software and modern legal practice tools.
• Experience managing complex or high-conflict family law matters.
