A law firm seeks an experienced Government Contracts Lawyer to join its Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advising government contractors on compliance and regulatory issues, drafting and negotiating contracts, and handling claims and disputes. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex legal matters and collaborate with a dynamic team.

Duties

• Advise government contractors on compliance and regulatory issues.
• Draft and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Counsel clients on claims and disputes involving government contracts.
• Prepare and prosecute requests for equitable adjustment and claims.
• Assist clients with bid protests.

Requirements

• 3-5 years or more of legal experience.
• Experience with small business issues, IP/data rights, and security clearance.
• Knowledge of import/export compliance, including ITAR/EAR issues.
• Broad background in government contracts practice preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from a top-tier law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in good standing.
