Trial Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Trial Attorney. The candidate will represent clients throughout the arbitration and trial processes in District and/or Superior Court. Provide legal advice on personal injury issues. Develop personal injury cases through thorough review and preparation. Resolve cases through settlements, mediation, arbitration, or trial.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and keep clients informed of case developments.
• Analyze plaintiff’s and defendant’s positions and explain personal injury law concepts.
• Review investigative findings, medical reports, and other relevant documents.
• Consult with experts, take and defend depositions, and complete discovery process.
• Prepare legal briefs, develop strategies, and arguments.
• Follow productivity and quality standards, resolving operational problems.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.
• Admission in good standing to North Carolina State Bar.
• Admission in good standing to South Carolina State Bar preferred.
• 10+ years of NC plaintiff’s litigation experience required.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and execute case strategies effectively.
• Proficiency in conducting depositions and trial proceedings.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
