Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking a Trademark Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have up to three years of experience handling trademark matters, including both domestic and international clearance, prosecution, and enforcement. Duties:

• Provide U.S. and international trademark search opinions, prepare and file trademark applications, and respond to office actions.

• Assist with managing U.S. and global trademark portfolios, advising on renewals, maintenance, and ownership conveyances.

• Communicate with foreign counsel regarding trademark filings, office actions, and prosecution matters.

• Draft documents for agreements and handle litigation matters.

• Participate in proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), including oppositions and cancellations.

• Conduct diligence reviews, domain and trademark watches, and legal research as needed.

Requirements:

• Must possess a JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

• Eligible for admission or already admitted to practice in New York.

• 1-3 years of experience in trademark prosecution, including filing and clearance.

• Experience with preparing and responding to cease-and-desist letters and managing other enforcement matters is preferred.

• Strong academic credentials and excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Business acumen and the ability to work well in team-oriented environments.

• A keen interest in public speaking, writing articles, and active participation in business development activities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to or eligible for admission to the New York Bar.

Skills:

• Proficient in trademark filing and prosecution processes.
