Senior Legal Counsel – Commercial Affairs

The candidate will serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to diverse business units across Stellantis, both domestically and internationally; will be expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships, founded on trust and transparency, with our internal and external partners and to address complex legal and business issues in an accurate, clear, and thorough manner; drafting and negotiating commercial transactions, and providing daily legal counsel and support to the Stellantis Purchasing, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality, Information Communication Technology (ICT), and Marketing organizations. Must be prepared to support a fast-changing automotive landscape, marked by autonomous vehicle technology, connectivity, and a transformative consumer data platform. Should have Juris Doctor degree with a strong academic background; 7 years of legal experience; admitted to practice law in Michigan or able to gain admission. Preferred experience in the automotive, technology, or manufacturing industries, or at a large law firm handling similar matters; 2 years of experience practicing as in-house counsel for a multi-national corporation. Should have the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, challenging, highly-matrixed global environment; ability to multi-task and manage a large volume of concurrent, often competing, priorities; excellent leadership and collaboration skills; excellent writing, oral communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse cross-functional teams, and gain trust and confidence with colleagues at varying management levels including executive management is required. The ability to drive decisions to consensus and influence change is a must.
