Job Overview:
A well-regarded law firm based in New Orleans, LA, is seeking a dynamic litigation associate to join its expanding personal injury practice. This position focuses on premises liability cases, including trip and fall and slip and fall matters. The ideal candidate will be entrusted with managing a docket of cases independently, handling everything from client intake through trial. Duties:

• Manage a caseload of personal injury matters, particularly premises liability cases

• Conduct client intake and maintain regular communication throughout litigation

• Perform legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, oral arguments, and mediations

• Prepare for and participate in trials as first or second chair

• Engage in all phases of trial preparation, including witness prep and exhibit management

• Contribute to strategic litigation planning and settlement negotiations

• Assist with case sourcing and development, with the opportunity to manage personally sourced files

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience involving premises liability or general personal injury matters (plaintiff or defense side)

• Proven ability to independently manage files from intake through resolution

• Strong litigation skills, including courtroom and deposition experience

• Excellent written and oral advocacy capabilities

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and support staff in a fast-paced setting

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Louisiana State Bar in good standing
