The successful candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in property tax appeals, particularly with the Cook/Collar County Assessor Offices, the Cook County Board of Review, and the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board. Candidates must be licensed in Illinois and possess strong writing and analytical skills.

Duties

• Administer property tax appeals, preparing and filing complaints and evidence.
• Analyze properties and draft briefs for various property types.
• Review and apply assessment records and histories.
• Support tax objection cases in the Circuit Court of Cook County.
• Communicate with clients regarding appeals and recommendations.
• Liaise with county representatives on hearings and settlements.
• Maintain departmental calendar and docketing.
• Assist with tax incentive and exemption applications.
• Support real estate tax proration matters.
• Participate in Continuing Legal Education (CLE) trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
