Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm with a nationally recognized private client practice is seeking an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join its International Estate Planning team. The ideal candidate will bring at least four years of experience handling complex cross-border tax and estate matters for high-net-worth individuals and entities. This is a strategic opportunity for attorneys passionate about international planning and looking for a long-term growth path within a supportive and high-caliber team. The position offers a hybrid work model and can be based out of multiple offices across the U.S.

Location:

  • Boston, MA

Duties:

  • Counsel U.S. and non-U.S. individuals and families on international estate planning

  • Advise clients on:

    • Cross-border wealth structures

    • Foreign trust planning

    • Pre-immigration and expatriation strategies

    • U.S. real estate acquisition by foreign nationals

    • U.S. tax compliance (e.g., FATCA, FBAR) for foreign assets

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary attorneys in tax, corporate, and private client services

  • Deliver high-level legal work while balancing tax and non-tax considerations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in international estate planning for high-net-worth clients

  • Cross-border tax planning experience preferred

  • Proven track record of advising on international trusts and compliance

  • Strong client service orientation and judgment

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Licensed attorney in good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in a U.S. jurisdiction (required)

Skills:

  • Advanced written and verbal communication

  • Legal drafting and tax analysis skills

  • Collaborative team player

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

  • Experience serving multinational families and family offices is highly beneficial
