This role involves leading Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, ensuring accuracy and compliance from intake through discharge. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of bankruptcy experience or a proven track record of handling over 300 bankruptcy cases.

Duties

• Partner with paralegals and clients to review bankruptcy files for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare clients for 341 meetings, ensuring understanding of the process and required documentation.
• Oversee the review of bankruptcy notices, motions, and pleadings for quality control and compliance.
• Collaborate with case attorneys and trustees to resolve issues efficiently.
• Analyze cases for legal and procedural issues and develop resolution strategies.
• Handle case-specific legal needs, including reaffirmation agreements and legal research.
• Conduct client interviews to gather key facts and identify legal issues early.

Requirements

• Strong commitment to client advocacy and consumer protection.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Licensed attorney and member in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
• Admitted to practice in one or more Texas Federal Courts.
• Capable of delivering independent legal instruction and team guidance.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
