Entry-Level to Mid-Level Patent Prosecution Associate
The candidate should have Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school or be currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school. A science or technical degree is a must. Admission to the USPTO Patent Bar or eligibility to sit for the USPTO Patent Bar is required. Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or other engineering degree is preferred. Strong technical and legal writing skills, including the ability to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively to explain technical innovations while applying patent law jurisprudence. A strong sense of self-motivation to meet work product deadlines or complete projects ahead of schedule. A strong desire to become proficient with drafting patent applications and office action responses for clients in diverse technology areas. The ability to conduct independent research to quickly get up to speed on unfamiliar technology.
