Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Real Estate Attorney for a member-level position in Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate will be motivated, client-focused, and eager to grow within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

Duties

• Serve as a senior member of the Real Estate team, providing strategic counsel on a broad range of real estate matters.
• Manage and expand client relationships, including business development and cross-collaboration across the firm.
• Train and mentor junior attorneys and contribute to the continued growth of the practice group.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years' experience in transactional real estate law.
• Strong client service and communication skills.
• Bar admission in Iowa is required (or eligibility to waive in).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in tax credit and government incentive agreements and transactions.
• Experience drafting and negotiating construction contracts and subcontracts.
• Experience drafting and negotiating real estate financing documents.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Iowa.
