Job Overview:
A law firm based in Houston, TX, is seeking a driven Immigration Associate Attorney to support its mission-driven legal practice focused exclusively on immigration matters. Duties:

  • Conduct legal consultations with prospective clients and provide clear guidance on immigration options and eligibility

  • Represent individuals and families in various immigration matters, including family-based petitions, removal defense, and employment-based processes

  • Prepare and review petitions, applications, and supporting documentation for submission to USCIS, EOIR, NVC, and other immigration agencies

  • Participate in hearings and interviews before immigration courts and agencies

  • Provide leadership on case strategy while collaborating with paralegals and support staff

  • Stay current with immigration law updates and attend regular firmwide legal and skills training sessions

  • Contribute to firm growth by supporting marketing initiatives aligned with language fluency or community needs

  • Assist with mentoring and knowledge sharing among junior team members, when appropriate

Requirements:

  • Active U.S. license to practice law (any state or jurisdiction)

  • 2-5 years of experience in immigration law, with proven success in client consultation and representation

  • High level of empathy and a strong commitment to client service and integrity

  • Ability to manage a dynamic caseload in a fast-paced but supportive environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to a U.S. state bar in good standing

Skills:

  • Proficiency in conducting legal analysis and preparing high-quality immigration filings

  • Strong client engagement and interpersonal communication

  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a legal team

  • Fluency in English required; Spanish or other language fluency highly beneficial

  • Technologically adept with the ability to navigate case management systems and virtual communication tools

Job Location:

  • Houston, TX

  • Hybrid work model (in-office and remote flexibility)

  • Must be able to commute or relocate before the start
