Regional Director
The candidate will manage site-based non-partisan voter registration campaigns in communities of color across the country. Will manage a team of entry-level canvass directors based in 4-5 offices spread across one or multiple states. Work with directors to hit goals and comply with federal and state voter registration laws. Work with them individually over the phone, through in-person site visits, by holding regional trainings, and by organizing webinars and conference calls. Spread the word about positions with Community Voters Project in local communities, on college campuses, and online. Conduct interviews and participate in hiring decisions. Work with the Field Director of Community Voters Project to make the plan for field program each week to ensure we are on track to hit goals. Plan and run trainings to kick off the campaign. Set up and maintain systems to run offices, help people register to vote, and keep track of all work. Represent Community Voters Project by working with election officials and civic engagement coalitions. Report directly to the Field Director and accountable to the Director of the Community Voters Project and to the Network's leadership. Must have 3 years of experience in campaign or program development and management, grassroots organizing, organization building, and/or campaign politics. Related advanced degrees such as a J.D. or Master's may count towards experience. Should be an experienced campaign director, who has managed outreach operations.
