This role involves handling complex bodily injury, personal injury, wrongful death, and construction defect cases. Location

• Albuquerque, New Mexico

Duties

• Handle civil litigation matters, including bodily injury, personal injury, and wrongful death cases.
• Manage litigation strategy from inception through resolution, including trial preparation.
• Conduct and defend lay and expert witness depositions.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
• Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings.
• Provide legal counsel and risk assessment to insurance carriers, businesses, and individuals.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in civil litigation.
• Strong background in personal injury, bodily injury, and wrongful death litigation.
• Experience handling construction defect cases is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in taking and defending depositions.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Trial experience is a plus but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the New Mexico State Bar or eligibility for admission.
