Benefits Specialist
The candidate will participate in the administration of all benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, etc.. Process new hires and ensure new hire communications are updated. Process employee status changes, transfers, new hires, and separations. Manage monthly posting of benefit entries to Finance for posting to GL. Conduct Weekly Benefits Overview. Reconcile monthly provider invoices and coordinate timely payment requests with the Finance and Procurement teams. Participate in the management of the annual enrollment process and develop communications with stakeholders. Prepare Monthly VEBA Funding Request. Work with external auditors and other vendors to verify employee data when requested and for all annual compliance requests. Maintain employee benefit files. Maintain records and perform a variety of other related administrative, accounting, reporting, data processing, and other recordkeeping duties. Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree is preferred. HRIS experience is preferred.
