Litigation Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Coconut Grove, FL, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with a focus on civil litigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of tasks, including drafting pleadings, motion practice, discovery, dispute resolution, mediation, pre-trial/trial preparation, and participation. Experience in Construction Law, Commercial Law, or Real Estate Law is preferred.

Job Duties:

• Draft pleadings, motion practice, and discovery documents.
• Advocate for clients and provide practical analysis of legal matters.
• Work closely with the legal team to prepare for trials and hearings.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions/pleadings.
• Prepare for and conduct trials, including handling hearings and conducting depositions.
• Familiarity with courts and courtroom procedures.
• Handle dispute resolution and mediation.
• Ensure attention to detail and effectively work with complex legal documents.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in the state of Florida.
• 3 years of experience in civil litigation.
• Experience in Construction Law, Commercial Law, or Real Estate Law preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with complex legal documents.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in the state of Florida.

Skills:

• Ability to draft pleadings, motions, and conduct legal research.
• Familiarity with courts and courtroom procedures.
• Experience in preparing for and conducting trials.
