Labor Employment Associate

Dinsmore & Shohl, a prominent national law firm with over 700 attorneys in 29 cities, has an immediate need for a labor and employment associate in the Columbus, Ohio office. Qualified candidates must have 2-5 years of labor and employment experience. Responsibilities include litigation defense and advising employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws and working on FMLA, ADA, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and violation of wage law matters. Traditional labor experience dealing with NLRB issues, collective bargaining, and grievance/arbitration is preferred as well as experience taking depositions, arguing motions, and preparing cases for trial. Qualified candidates can look forward to a practice that will include significant client contact and handling all aspects of complex employment cases for regional and national clients of all sizes.

All candidates should have a strong academic background, and possess excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills. A license to practice in Ohio is required. Out of state candidates who are either willing to sit for the bar exam or eligible for admission in Ohio will be considered.
