Vice President, Global Head Compliance and Risk
The candidate will evaluate, enhance, and maintain a control infrastructure in the US and Australian markets to support compliance with all applicable requirements related to the sale of prescription pharmaceutical products in those markets. Evaluate, enhance and maintain an Anti-Bribery / Anti-Corruption (ABAC) Compliance Program consistent with the recommendations outlined in the US SEC & DOJ Guidelines and the OECD member-country requirements. Evaluate, enhance, and maintain an Antitrust / Anti-Competition Compliance Program to support compliance with all anti-trust and anti-competition requirements in those markets where we do business. Support and lead the evaluation, enhancement, and maintenance of the process by which the global organization identifies, mitigates, and reports on its ongoing and changing risks. Build relationships throughout the global organization to foster inclusion during the development and implementation of business unit and functional goals and strategic visions to allow for compliance and risk management to be embedded within the approaches. Evaluate, enhance, and develop guidance documents in the form of policies, procedures, and written instructions, including related training, that supports a sound control infrastructure for the branded and generics pharmaceuticals businesses, for both corporate personnel and the field sales force. Provide training and communication on a regular basis and of all new and/or enhanced guidance. Lead US Healthcare Compliance Program with consideration to the requirements outlined by the Office of Inspector General of the US Department of Health & Human Services over the past decade through the issuance of Corporate Integrity Agreements for other industry participants. Evaluate, enhance, and develop additional guidance documents in the form of policies, procedures, and written instructions that supports a sound control infrastructure around third party vendor selection. Maintain and update as necessary ABAC Compliance Program consistent with the elements outlined by the US Securities & Exchange Commission, in conjunction with the US Department of Justice, taking into consideration the size and complexity of the company. Maintain and update as necessary the Antitrust/Anti-Competition Compliance Program designed to support the generics field sales team through ongoing active monitoring, ongoing training based upon monitoring results and continuous reporting to company senior management. Evaluate, enhance, and create guidance documents in the form of policies, procedures, and written instructions that supports the Company’s ability to identify and mitigate risks in a structured, repeatable manner. Collaborate with Legal, HR and other departments to ensure effective management of cross-department compliance controls, including investigations, audits, communications, etc. Maintain the global hotline and work with the Legal Team to support investigations, as necessary. Routinely update and counsel the Board, General Counsel and senior management on Ethics and Compliance issues and developments.
