Job Overview:
A respected New Jersey-based law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation practice. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on litigation experience including motion practice, depositions, trials, and client interaction. The ideal candidate will be a proactive legal professional with strong research, writing, and advocacy skills, ready to contribute to complex commercial disputes and insurance coverage matters.

Location:

• Ocean, New Jersey

Duties:

• Collaborate with senior attorneys in representing clients in complex commercial litigation and insurance coverage disputes

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and develop strategic legal arguments

• Draft motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents

• Participate in and conduct depositions

• Appear in court to argue motions and assist at hearings and trials

• Manage ongoing client communications and relationships

• Participate in settlement negotiations and case resolution planning

• Balance multiple active cases while maintaining high standards of service

Requirements:

• 0–3 years of commercial litigation experience

• Strong foundation in litigation procedures and case management

• Demonstrated courtroom, deposition, and legal writing experience

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment

• High level of professionalism and client service orientation

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and in good standing with the New Jersey State Bar

Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities

• Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management capabilities

• Proficiency in managing client expectations and developing litigation strategies

• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed
