A well-established law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their Personal Injury practice in Johnson City, TN. The position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators specializing in personal injury and healthcare liability matters. This role provides professional growth, mentorship, and a clear path to earning a commission as lead counsel on cases.

Duties:

• Assist in managing and handling personal injury cases, including all aspects of case preparation, research, and litigation.
• Learn from senior attorneys with expertise in personal injury and healthcare liability.
• Develop and implement strategies for case management, including trial preparation and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with the team to build and strengthen client relationships.
• Provide clients with high-quality legal representation and advice throughout the legal process.
• Take on increasing responsibility for case management as experience and proficiency grow, including leading cases after gaining sufficient experience.

Requirements:

• Proven ability to manage personal injury cases from start to finish.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Tennessee (or eligibility to become licensed).

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of personal injury law and healthcare liability.
• Skilled in trial preparation, legal strategy, and settlement negotiations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and client management.
